BEES IN BURUNDI with Harry Owens  BEM – 7pm Wednesday 15th November 2023

Despite a few technical hitches with the media equipment Harry managed to save the day with his excellent talk about his visit to Burundi with Christian Aid to teach the local women the best way to keep bees in order to make a decent living from them.  Everyone enjoyed the talk and lots of questions were fired at Harry who was able to answer all of them in detail.  Thank You Harry, we had a great evening in your company.

THE LAXEY MINES RESEARCH GROUP with Peter Geddes MBE – 7pm Wednesday 24th January 2024

Peter will enlighten us about the invaluable work done by the LMRG to protect our Heritage.  It’s hard to imagine just how difficult and dangerous their job is!  Join us for some hair-raising scenes.

S.A.R.D.A – Search and Rescue Dogs Association with Will Heap – 7pm Wednesday 21st February 2024

Will will entertain us with stories of daring rescues with man’s best friend.  The skills of man and dog together are truly amazing.
