Annual General Meeting 7pm Thursday 21st March 2024 at the Fairways Restaurant, Golf Club, Peel
This is your opportunity to meet the committee and put forward your ideas for the progression of the club. It will be a short and lighthearted meeting and members will be treated to an excellent buffet provided by Alex at Fairways once ‘business’ is concluded. Your opinion is much appreciated so please support your club by coming along.
Membership Secretary
As you know Gill Smith and husband David are in the process of leaving the Island for pastures new in East Sussex, a beautiful area of the UK, in order to be closer to her family. This means that Gill has, very reluctantly, stepped down as Membership Secretary. Gill has done a wonderful job over the past three years. We will miss her happy smile and wish them both all the very best for the future and many happy years to come in their new home. I'm sure they will pop back to see us from time to time. All is not lost however as we welcome Louise Whitelegg, a fairly new member of the Club, to the role. Louise has excellent computer skills and is more than happy to take on the role of Membership Secretary. I'm sure she will be perfect for the role.

BEES IN BURUNDI with Harry Owens BEM - 7pm Wednesday 15th November 2023 Despite a few technical hitches with the media equipment Harry managed to save the day with his excellent talk about his visit to Burundi with Christian Aid to teach the local women the best way to keep bees in order to make a decent living from them. Everyone enjoyed the talk and lots of questions were fired at Harry who was able to answer all of them in detail. Thank You Harry, we had a great evening in your company.
